Physical Session Of The Citizens’ Assembly In Niger State

Today, we held a physical session of the Citizens’ Assembly in Minna, Niger State, bringing together Assembly members and key stakeholders from 12 Local Government Areas: Mashegu, Edati, Shiroro, Agaie, Agwara, Gurara, Chanchaga, Kontagora, Rafi, Mariga, Munya, and Borgu.

The engagement was aimed at gathering first-hand insights and documenting feedback from community members on the security challenges in their respective communities. It also provided an opportunity to brief participants on the ongoing efforts of the Federal Government to curb the terrorist attacks in the North Central zone and other parts of the country.

Following the session, I paid courtesy visits to the Niger State Commissioner for Homeland Security, Barr. Maurice Bello Magaji; the Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman; and the State Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), Usman Bello Ibrahim, where I shared the feedback received, with a view to strengthening strategies for the protection of lives and property across Niger State.

His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains firmly committed to ensuring the security of every Nigerian, in every part of the country.
