Dr. Abiodun Essiet, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement North Central, Arrives in Kwara for three days of community engagement activities

She will convene a physical session of the Citizens’ Assembly, pay courtesy and working visits to relevant stakeholders, including traditional rulers, security agencies, and host communities across Kwara State to discuss local priorities, social inclusion, and feedback-driven governance.

Security is also a core component of the engagement, with discussions aimed at strengthening community-security collaboration, improving early warning mechanisms, and supporting safer environments for sustainable development across the state.
Day 1
Abiodun Essiet, PhD, paid a strategic visit to the State Security Service (SSS) and the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Adekemi Ojo, as part of her ongoing community engagement.

The visit was aimed at formally briefing the security agency on her community engagement activities across the state and to strengthen coordination between her office and security institutions.

Discussions also focused on the current security situation in Kwara, community-based intelligence sharing, and collaborative approaches to sustaining peace and stability through proactive engagement at the grassroots level.
