I visited the manufacturing facility of MOMAS-EPAIL MIC Ltd, a proudly Nigerian company dedicated to advancing local technology research and development to deliver effective security solutions for the protection of lives and property. During the visit, I engaged with trainees participating in the ongoing Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project, implemented by the Federal Ministry of Education in partnership with the World Bank.

The IDEAS Project is a flagship initiative aimed at transforming Nigeria’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system by strengthening skills acquisition, enhancing industry relevance, and improving youth employability through innovation, training, and private sector collaboration. I encouraged the trainees to step down the knowledge and skills acquired to their respective communities, while also motivating them to fully leverage the various federal government interventions designed to support skills development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. I was further taken on a guided tour of the ballistic production section, where military-grade vehicles, bulletproof helmets, vests, and ballistic plates are manufactured.

The visit also featured a live drone piloting demonstration, showcasing the company’s growing technological capacity. This administration remains committed to promoting indigenous enterprises through the Nigeria First Policy, empowering local companies to meet domestic needs while positioning them to compete effectively in the global market.
