
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, North Central, Hon. Dr. Abiodun Essiet, on Friday received the Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, alongside the Co-Chair of the 17-Man Peace Implementation Committee of Iregwe Chiefdom, Bassa LGA, on a courtesy visit to her office.
The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts by the Presidency to promote community peace and strengthen social cohesion across North Central Nigeria.
Dr. Essiet explained that her office has continued to engage diverse interest groups in order to build mutual trust and foster sustainable peace within communities.
She described the visit as a testament to the confidence stakeholders have in the Federal Government’s conflict resolution initiatives, stressing that “open and sincere dialogue remains the most effective path towards peace.”

She assured that the Presidency, through her office, would continue to deepen collaboration, nurture understanding, and strengthen the bonds of unity across communities in the region.
The visit comes amid renewed efforts to consolidate peace-building mechanisms in Plateau State and across the North Central zone.
