On the 5th of November, I had the privilege of kicking off the physical session of the Citizens’ Assembly at NKST Primary School, Gboko, Benue State. During my visit, I was deeply moved by the state of the school’s dilapidated toilet facility, which has been out of use. This situation has unfortunately led to open defecation around the school premises, posing a significant risk of cholera outbreaks and other health hazards. Understanding the urgency of the matter, I immediately made a personal donation towards the renovation of the toilet facilities. I am pleased to share that work has already commenced, and we are on track to restore a safe and hygienic environment for the pupils and staff of the school. This is a reminder that small actions can lead to significant impacts. Together, we can address pressing community challenges and create a better future for all.
