The development of a National Peace Framework is both timely and necessary. As our nation continues to confront evolving security challenges, it is imperative that we establish a coordinated, inclusive, and sustainable framework that promotes dialogue, strengthens social cohesion, and addresses the root causes of conflict.

In my remarks, I emphasized that peace cannot be achieved through security interventions alone. It requires active community engagement, inclusive governance, early warning and response mechanisms, and meaningful collaboration among government institutions, traditional and religious leaders, civil society, women, youth, and the private sector.

I commend the Office of the National Security Adviser, and all partners for convening this important initiative. I am confident that this process will produce a framework that reflects the aspirations of Nigerians and strengthens our collective resolve to build a more peaceful, secure, and united nation.
My office remains committed to supporting initiatives that foster trust, strengthen community resilience and social cohesion.
