I am pleased to announce our strategic partnership with the International Communities Organization (ICO), a civic and social organization dedicated to protecting human rights. This partnership aims to strengthen social cohesion, promote peacebuilding initiatives, and advance the implementation of the United Nations Universal Periodic Review (UPR) recommendations accepted in Nigeria.

At the heart of this partnership is strengthening social cohesion and fostering peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and ethnicities in North Central Nigeria.
This initiative aims to build bridges of understanding, tolerance, and cooperation through inclusive dialogue and grassroots engagement.

The project’s pilot phase will commence from September through December 2025. During this period, targeted interventions will be rolled out in select communities across the North Central geopolitical zone. The initiative will focus on empowering local stakeholders, community workshops on enhancing interfaith and interethnic collaboration, and setting up community-based peace structures to provide platforms for sustainable peacebuilding efforts.

We look forward to working closely with the ICO and all stakeholders to achieve the objectives of this critical project.
