As we commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and celebrate the joy of Christmas, I extend warm greetings and heartfelt appreciation to the ever resilient and peace-loving people of the North Central region.
Christmas is a season of love, sharing, and reflection. It reminds us that peace begins with each of us through kindness to one another, respect for our differences, and commitment to living together as one people. In the North Central, our diversity is our strength, and this season gives us a special opportunity to show the world that we are a truly peace-loving people.
Over the past year, my office has actively engaged community leaders, youth groups, faith-based institutions, traditional rulers, and relevant stakeholders to strengthen dialogue and promote peaceful coexistence across our region. We have also intensified collaboration with security agencies to proactively address security concerns and sustain relative peace in our communities. These efforts remain ongoing, as peacebuilding is a continuous responsibility.
The new year offers us an opportunity to learn, to heal, and to take social cohesion to a new level. Under the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, our commitment remains unwavering: to strengthen inclusive governance, promote peacebuilding, and ensure that every citizen feels seen, heard, and protected.

This season is also a call to action: to preach peace, show love to one another, and reject violence in all its forms. I urge everyone to remain vigilant. If you notice any suspicious activity or have security concerns during this festive period, please report immediately by calling 0705 240 5894. Your prompt action can save lives and help keep our communities safer.
Thank you to the good people of Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the FCT for your patience, cooperation, and enduring faith in Nigeria.
Wishing you a peaceful and merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year.
