Hon. Dr. Abiodun Essiet Inaugurates Yoruba FCT Forum for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027, Empowers Women Entrepreneurs

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North Central), Hon. Dr. Abiodun Essiet, PhD, today led the inauguration of the executive members of the Yoruba FCT Forum for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 in Abuja alongside Dr. Adebayo Benjamin Laniyi.

The inauguration marked a significant milestone in strengthening grassroots engagement and mobilizing support for the Renewed Hope Agenda. During the event, the Forum reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing widespread grassroots support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in the 2027 general elections.

Demonstrating its commitment to community development and economic empowerment, the Forum donated ₦5 million to support the activities of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors Team. In addition, 50 market women received empowerment grants of ₦50,000 each to strengthen and expand their businesses, reflecting the administration’s continued focus on promoting inclusive economic growth and improving livelihoods.

The event attracted a distinguished gathering of political, traditional, and community leaders, including the FCT APC Chairman, FCT APC Woman Leader, Renewed Hope FCT Ambassador, elected councillors, Yoruba traditional rulers across the Federal Capital Territory, members of the FCT Yoruba Community, the Yoruba Agbe-Koya Community, as well as women, youth, religious, and community leaders.

In her remarks, Hon. Dr. Abiodun Essiet emphasized the importance of unity, community engagement, and grassroots participation in advancing the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda. She noted that sustainable national development requires the active involvement of citizens and communities working together to support initiatives that improve lives and foster inclusive growth.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment by stakeholders to continue supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda while strengthening community participation in national development efforts.

Hon. Dr. Abiodun Essiet also expressed profound appreciation to the Patron of the Forum, Barr. Seyi Tinubu, for his unwavering support, leadership, and dedication to the progress and empowerment of members of the Yoruba community across the Federal Capital Territory.
