How Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Infrastructure Projects Are Reshaping Nigeria’s North-Central Region , Directorate of Infrastructure, Mobilisation and Sensitisation, APC Presidential Campaign Council.

The Directorate of Infrastructure, Mobilisation and Sensitisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council is highlighting the major road and bridge projects being implemented by the Federal Government across Nigeria’s North-Central region under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. During a media chat on the Renewed Hope Infrastructure Drive in the region, Dr. Abiodun Essiet, North Central Coordinator of the Directorate, discussed how these investments are intended to improve connectivity, reduce travel times and support economic activity.

At the media chat in Abuja, Dr. Abiodun Essiet, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement in the North-Central region and North Central Coordinator of the Directorate, outlined infrastructure priorities across Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger and Plateau states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory.

The Buruku-Logo Bridge and Makurdi-Gboko Road in Benue; the Mararaba-Keffi expansion that now eases the daily pain of millions of workers commuting into the FCT; the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe-Biu-Maiduguri Superhighway; the 401-kilometre Lambata–Bida–Mokwa–Makera–Kontagora highway in Niger State; the rehabilitated Gwada-Shiroro Road in Niger State; and the approved completion of the 71-kilometre Minna-Suleja Road.

These are complemented by the 477km Calabar-Ebonyi-Benue-Nasarawa-Abuja Superhighway – a Renewed Hope Legacy Project with 95km in Nasarawa, 111km in Kogi, 66km in Benue and 12km in the FCT – designed to connect the South East to the North Central and create a new trade corridor. Under the recent N3.9 trillion FEC approvals, the North Central secured some of the largest slices: N1.8 trillion for the 409km dual carriageway in Niger State, N276 billion for Ilorin-Ogbomoso dualisation (Kwara/Oyo), N104 billion for Ilorin-Omorin-Ebe-Kabba-Obajana Road (Kwara/Kogi), N24.7 billion for Kabba-Ifaki-Ado-Ekiti Road (Kogi/Ekiti), N92 billion for Baban-Lamba-Sharan Phase II Road in Plateau, N86 billion for Adikpo-Ajayi-Tese-Akpa-Otukpo Road (Benue/Cross River), and N71 billion for Dabban-Makina Road in Niger.

Also ongoing is the Abuja-Lokoja-Benin corridor in Kogi, the Ilobu-Erinle Road in Kwara, and the Shendam Bridge which has been fully completed, and associated transport infrastructure in Plateau. These are not palliative repairs; they are full reconstructions connecting farms to markets
