The Renewed Hope Administration has taken another significant step toward strengthening infrastructure and improving the lives of Nigerians with the official flag-off of the rehabilitation of the 40-kilometre Baban Lamba–Sharam (Phase II) Road in Plateau State.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement (North Central), Hon. Abiodun Essiet, joined Senior Special Assistants to the President from other regions at the groundbreaking ceremony, which was performed by the Honourable Minister of Works on behalf of the Federal Government.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was represented at the event by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, while the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, and other dignitaries were also in attendance.
The project goes beyond the construction of a 40-kilometre road. It also includes the installation of solar-powered streetlights and the construction of a police station, reinforcing the Federal Government’s commitment to improving road safety, strengthening security, enhancing connectivity, and stimulating economic activities across the benefiting communities.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Abiodun Essiet observed that Plateau State had endured decades of inadequate infrastructure, which slowed development and limited economic opportunities. She stated that the Renewed Hope Administration has reversed that trend through strategic investments in critical infrastructure, delivering projects that are creating lasting value for communities across the state.
She further emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to the people of Plateau State, noting that the administration remains focused on implementing transformative projects that improve livelihoods, foster economic growth, and accelerate sustainable development.
The Baban Lamba–Sharam Road Project stands as another testament to the Federal Government’s resolve to build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive development, and ensure that communities across Nigeria benefit from the dividends of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
