Abuja – The Federal Government (FG) has intensified construction, rehabilitation, and inspection of federal road projects across the North Central region, reaffirming its commitment to improved connectivity, safety, and economic growth under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Ongoing interventions span the Federal Capital Territory, Benue, Kogi, Plateau, Kwara, Niger, and Nasarawa states, covering highway rehabilitation, dualisation works, bridge repairs, and pavement strengthening on critical inter-state corridors.
The projects aim to ease traffic congestion, reduce travel time, enhance safety, and support agriculture, trade, and regional integration. Strategic gateway states such as Kogi and Niger continue to receive focused attention due to their importance to national mobility and logistics.
The Federal Ministry of Works has assured that all projects are being closely monitored to ensure quality delivery, with reinforced concrete pavement adopted on key routes to guarantee long-term durability.
The sustained pace of work across the North Central zone underscores the FG’s resolve to deploy infrastructure as a driver of economic recovery and inclusive national development.
